Rev. Job Pangilinan is a third-generation Methodist whose life and ministry have been shaped by worship, service, and a deep love for the church. Raised in the Methodist tradition, he began serving in ministry at a young age as a youth leader, music minister, lay speaker, and teacher in church and community ministries.

Before answering his call to ordained ministry, Job spent over thirty years in leadership, systems development, and process improvement work across various fields, including legal, engineering, non-profit, healthcare, and government settings. His work focused on helping organizations strengthen systems, improve processes, and align people and purpose toward meaningful outcomes. His last secular engagement involved helping support healthcare systems during the COVID-19 pandemic. That season of witnessing suffering and human vulnerability deepened his conviction that God was calling him to accompany people through life’s challenges with hope, compassion, and faith.

 

Job completed his Master of Divinity at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary and now serves in ministry within the Pacific Northwest Conference of The United Methodist Church. His ministry is grounded in preaching, discipleship, community engagement, and nurturing congregations toward faithful and fruitful mission.

 

One of Job’s greatest joys is leading worship through preaching, singing, and playing the ukulele. Worship is central to his ministry and is shared with his wife, Rosemarie, whose gift of hula worship dance has blessed many communities and invited people into deeper expressions of praise and spiritual reflection.

 

Job also finds deep joy in engaging neighborhoods and communities – listening, building relationships, and discerning together what abundant life means within their own context as part of God’s ongoing work in the world. Through ministry and seminary, he has been shaped by the beauty of diverse faith communities and carries a strong belief that God works uniquely within every congregation and every person’s sacred journey. He believes the church flourishes when people are welcomed, encouraged to share their gifts, and united in God’s mission.

 

Job approaches ministry with gratitude, humility, and hope – seeking to walk alongside congregations as together they discern where God is already at work and how they may faithfully strengthen Christ’s mission in their community and beyond.
