Flora Street Community Garden
BECOME A
PART OF
OUR GARDEN
Rooted in a desire to nourish both people and connection,
the Flora Street Community Garden was created to address food insecurity while bringing neighbors together.
What began nearly 20 years ago as a small garden started by Curt and Debra Warmington—members of UMC at Lakewood—has grown into a vibrant community space. In 2019, it officially became known as the Flora Street Garden, now home to 25 garden boxes each growing season.
At its heart, Flora Street Garden is about more than growing food. It’s about growing community. Whether you’re an experienced gardener or just getting started, this is a place to dig in, learn, share, and connect. Our goal is to provide access to garden space for individuals and families who might not otherwise have the opportunity to grow their own vegetables, fruits, or flowers—while becoming part of a supportive and welcoming group of fellow gardeners.
Garden boxes are available each season for $40 per box.
Scholarships are available to ensure everyone has the opportunity to participate.
